Join our Hygiene Team at The Compleat Food Group!
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hygiene Manager to join our incredible site in Milton Keynes!

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Site Hygiene Manager to lead and elevate our hygiene function. In this vital role,
you’ll take ownership of all hygiene operations across our factory, ensuring we not only meet but exceed customer and regulatory
standards. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by driving continuous improvement, developing new processes, and
playing a key role in safeguarding the quality, safety, and legality of our products.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-16:00
Your Duties Will Include:
* To ensure hygiene staff are appropriately trained, organised and managed to complete required workload.
* Manage issues with production management to minimise risk to product through effective hygiene management and process control
* Manage and control deep and standard cleaning of machinery / environment to a scheduled programme and to the required standard
* Carry out regular audits of the hygiene systems and site environmental standards.
* To carry out ad-hoc project work with Technical Manager, i.e. new equipment, cleaning materials and processes
* Drive forward departmental policies and procedures and update the QMS within the scope of the hygiene function
* Actively promote a safety culture within the factory ensuring all health and safety requirements are met
* Participate in Company development initiative
* Management and control of departmental budget
* Management of control of the third party pest control contract
* Implementation of hygiene safe ways of working across the site
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Previous technical management and/or hygiene management experience at a senior level.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Strong people management skills.
* Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including strong influencing skills.
* Lead auditor trained and/or train the trainer.
* Proven track record of leading large complex team/s across a variety of product categories.
* Sound knowledge of food science and good understanding of UK and European regulation and legislation.
* Knowledge of retailer COP’s and BRC.
* Commercial and operational awareness.
* Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, hygiene systems and ERP management systems.
* Understands ways of working in unionised environment
