I am looking for a PA for my 26 year old daughter who has Downs syndrome and who can be with her while I work and assist her with daily living, such as with personal care and general duties such as making her and and putting her washing in the washing machine.

My daughter is full of fun and has a great sense of humour, she is a joy to work with. She isn’t safe to be left alone therefore I need someone to help, they will need to have a car as we live in Sedlescombe which is quite a remote area.

I work set days therefore the hours will always be the same - this would be on Fridays from 3pm to 8pm (pick up from Musical theatre in Hastings to home), Sundays all day from 9am to 8pm and Mondays 2pm 8pm at home.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Other relevant duties as required
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Looking after pets
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
