Catering Assistant & Kitchen Porter needed in Thetford
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant & Kitchen Porters to join our client kitchen team in Thetford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation.
Position Overview:
Role: Catering Assistant & Kitchen Porter
Location: Thetford, IP24
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:30-14:30 or Sat & Sun 06:30 – 12:30
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the chef with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and work areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances
• Follow health & safety and food hygiene standards at all times
• Assist with stock rotation and organisation of supplier
Requirements:
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices (training can be provided)
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
