Hay sare working in partnership with a small SEN school in Northampton who arerecruiting for a new Class Teacher to join their dedicated teaching team. The ideal candidate has experience teaching in a specialist setting supporting pupils to reintegrate into a mainstream setting. Your new school
The school supports approximately 35 pupils on roll to ensure that they can provide ample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging andsupportive environment, specifically for those who will reintegrate back into a mainstream setting. This group of schools prides itself on tailored support for pupils with social emotional and mental health needs which work towards reintegration and the successful reduction of anti-social behaviour. The school consists of a core team of the Head of School, Deputy Head of School, five teachers, and five support staff. Further support is also provided by regional and national staff, who work with a number of schools across our group.
Your new role
In your new job as a Teacher with Hays, you will take on full-teaching responsibility for this class of pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will support pupils both academically and pastorally with a focus on reintegrating pupils into mainstream education. You'll work collaboratively with other teachers within the school to best address the needs of each pupil.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in your new job, you'll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have aminimum of 2 years' experience teaching in a SEND environment. You're someone who loves taking on a challenge and you enjoy adapting to new situations. You'll have supported with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to support pupils with a range of needs.
