Job Title: Principal Mechanical Designer
Job Type: Permanent Staff
Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to clearance
Salary Range: Up to £46,000 per annum
Benefits Package: 26 days holiday + bank holidays / Pension scheme (6-8% matched)
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Fully Site Based or Hybrid Working: Programme dependent, flexible working options available - 2 days on site every 2 weeks
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week + overtime available (Flexible start/finish times available)
Role & Responsibilities:
* Using CAD tools to produce 3D models of pipe routing systems as well as HVAC/mechanical equipment integration
* Produce 2D drawing diagrams to schedule in order to support the manufacturing/production teams with project delivery
* Develop and manage working relationships with fellow colleagues and additionally with other teams
* Work closely with clients to produce an implemented design that matches expectation/demand
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Strong understanding of pipe routing systems
* Good working knowledge of 3D model integration within a mechanical discipline
* Experience with mechanical design matter and integration via different stages of design, output and build
* Draughtsperson skills/experience
* A solid understanding of CAD packages
* HNC/ONC or degree level qualified in a relevant field
