About us:

Blue Elephant Childcare is an exciting organisation offering residential placements for children and young people, in properties owned or leased to the company.

We are child focused on our approach which runs throughout everything we do; a successful candidate will be expected to support and build upon this ethos in their work whilst also balancing other considerations such as time management and financial budgeting.

We are a growing company currently with 8 homes in the North Devon area. We will imminently be opening our next home and have plans for the ones following.

We specifically operate in the North Devon area; Barnstaple is the main hub with all homes within a 25-mile radius of Barnstaple. As we grow this region may expand as needs dictate.

We are an inclusive company who listens to its staff and respects suggestions and ideas that improve the service we give to our children. The role is diverse and requires skills in problem solving resource management and imaginative solutions to unfamiliar problems.

To provide advice and telephone support to the staff team during emergency situations. Where required attend to the sites out of hours to ensure the safety of our clients.
Regular inspection of all equipment. Reporting to your line Manager for any replacement/servicing required.
To liaise with external professional bodies organising relevant regulatory checks e.g. water/samples.
