Crynodeb
The main focus of the post will be to work with whole settings, within classrooms and with individual students to: Develop policies and practices around SLCN within and across settings and professional groups e.g. Communication Friendly classrooms Collaborate with other agencies to endures that SLCN are identified and addressed within educational practices Contribute to the development and communication of the evidence base around SLCN and life outcomes Develop staff knowledge around SLCN through training and collaborative working. Supplement teacher assessment, communication friendly classroom practices and targeted support with specialist assessment and personalised evidence-based interventions where these are indicated to better understand need or address specific underlying difficulties which are the unique remit of specialist speech and language therapists. Identify clear outcomes and action plans for settings, children/young people and families to maximise learning, inclusion, participation and wellbeing.
