Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to people’s lives?
Support Workers in the Norfolk area needed to join our Independent Living team.
Permanent part-time (16 per week). Salary – £23,809.50 (full-time equivalent)
Or
Casual (sessional) hours for those who like to work flexibly. £12.21 per hour
If you would like to join TeamRAD – delivering invaluable one-to-one and group support to deaf people, in their first language,
usually British Sign Language (BSL) or via specialist communication systems, please get in touch! Our Independent Living team
provides person-centred support so that deaf and deafblind people (including those who have additional support needs, e.g., a
learning disability or mental health challenge) can develop the skills needed to live independently.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone can live a safe, fulfilled and happy life. If you have a positive attitude, a flexible
approach and would like to join our team – get in touch!
We provide excellent training and development, prioritise colleague wellbeing and are keen to attract people who can work
independently, but who also enjoy being part of a team that can support each other to achieve great outcomes for the people who we
support.
Permanent roles attract life assurance benefit, generous pension and 30 days annual leave (FTE).
The sessional opportunity is flexible work, and colleagues can choose support sessions from those offered. Many sessional
colleagues develop their skills and gain valuable experience before eventually becoming permanent (when vacancies arise).
Sessional colleagues are not permanent employees. There is no guarantee of work and days/hours can vary depending on the needs of
the charity.
If you would like to complete your supporting statement in BSL, please include a video clip with your application (this is not
essential).
To apply for these roles, you must:
- Have adequate Deafblind communication experience.
- Be a car owner/driver.
- British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 is essential for this role, Level 2 is desirable. Where required we will offer this training
as part of the role.
The application form is an essential part of the selection process and must be completed. Please complete it as fully and
accurately as possible. We will also accept your application form should you wish to submit this in BSL.
