We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated individual who has a keen interest in developing their knowledge and skills in the surgical care of patients. If you are interested in a new challenge and embrace innovation then this could be the role for you.
We are looking for a Theatre Assistant to come and work alongside our dedicated recovery team within our new surgical hub and exciting recovery units. You will complete an in house training programme which incorporates all essential competencies required to be able to deliver safe, individualised, patient centred care.
There are a number of developmental opportunities available to those who wish to develop within the operating theatre environment. We are committed to developing and supporting our staff who wish to grow within the theatre environment.
Recovery offer support in four areas of the hospital South, East, Blyth theatres and the new surgical Hub. You will be part of the team working alongside the recovery nurses taking care of patient’s post-surgery. Part of the role will be helping transfer them back to the ward, and looking after all their needs whilst they are within your care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who has a keen interest in patient centred care and the surgical environment.
You will:
• Provide support to patients, their families and carers.
• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure we maintain the highest standards of patient care.
• Be pro-active in their own learning and development.
• This is a physical role transferring patients on their beds around the hospital
