An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school team. We are looking for a committed educator who can bring the past to life and inspire a love of history in young people. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a History Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in history at Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Plan and assess in accordance with national curriculum and GCSE specifications.

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

  • Promote critical thinking, historical enquiry, and analytical writing skills.

  • Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities, and cross-curricular projects.

Ideal History Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in History or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching history at secondary level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making history relevant and meaningful.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a History Teacher.
