Make a difference, one family at a time
Are you passionate about supporting families in your community to thrive? Do you have experience in family support, community outreach, or youth work and the drive to build stronger, more connected services?
We’re looking for a confident and compassionate Family Navigator to join our Wiltshire Family Hub team. In this varied and community-facing role, you’ll work directly with children, parents, and carers to connect them with the services and support they need.
You’ll spend time in key local buildings such as family hubs and libraries, building trusting relationships, listening to families’ needs, and helping them access support that works for them. You’ll also work closely with Community and Family Navigators, who focus on partnership building, to strengthen the community safety net.
We need someone who is a great communicator, a human magnet who can draw people in and build strong, trusting relationships. If you’re ready to make a real difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you.
What your week will look like
2–3 days working in local hubs and public settings, meeting families face to face
1 day visiting and building relationships with schools, voluntary groups and local services
1–2 days for follow-up support, team collaboration, and admin/reporting from home or an office base
You’ll work alongside a supportive team of Family and Community Navigators, with clear induction, regular supervision, and the chance to develop your skills further.
What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Experience in family support, youth work, community navigation or related roles.
Confidence working with a wide range of people and services
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a non-judgemental approach
A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
Why join Spurgeons?
We’re a Christian children’s charity that puts children and families first. Our Family Hubs across Wiltshire are at the heart of local communities—supporting families with practical help, parenting advice, emotional wellbeing and more.
We offer:
A supportive and experienced team
Flexible working and autonomy in your day-to-day
Ongoing training and development
Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing tools
Generous pension scheme
If you want to be part of a warm, values-driven organisation that puts compassion, inclusion and hope into action, we’d love to hear from you.
