Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 39 year old woman living in the Barry area.
I love acting and attend Hijinx theatre in Cardiff. I am very independent and manage all of my own care and support needs.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To help support and provide me with company when out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours a week to be used flexibly.
RATES OF PAY
£12.30 per hour.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Going out for walks.
Going to local coffee shops.
Helping me with my correspondence and any letters that I am unsure of.
Encourage and help me to learn scripts for auditions and to motivate and support me with this.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone who will explain things clearly and make sure I understand.
Someone who is a good Listener.
Must be flexible with days able to work.
Someone who is reliable and punctual.
A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else’s home.
Although as a personal assistant you would be my employee, it is important to me that we work together in a friendly, mutually respectful way and build up a good rapport.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
