Who are Investors In Community (IIC)?
IIC want to create a significant and positive change by building resilient communities, and a new economy derived from social value. They aim to pave the way to a future where social contributions are paramount.
Officially launched in February 2020, Investors in Community’s award-winning platform unifies all aspects of community partnering across five ways of giving: donations, fundraising, volunteering, skilled volunteering and gifting of any item or service.
In this role you’ll be focusing on onboarding charities to the platform, and building / maintaining the relationships with charity partners and businesses to ensure their needs are met and they feel valued.
This is a full-time position, IIC do offer flexible working and operate on a remote / hybrid basis. This role would look at having regular in-person touch points at one of their working spaces Chesterfield, Sheffield, Leeds, Kendall but remote working would be the norm otherwise.
This is a new role, within a start-up organisation, therefore every day is likely to be a little bit different, and you’ll need to be able to ‘wear lots of different hats.’
However, you can definitely expect to get involved with the following
Onboarding and supporting new charities and small businesses
Building relationships with existing charity partners, proactively reaching out to check if there is anything you can do to encourage the use of the platform
Liaise with businesses to ensure they have charity projects they can support
Gathering feedback and coordinating with the internal team to make sure any improvements can be put in place
Organising training sessions & webinars for charities to educate them on new platform features
Working with the marketing team to develop case studies and share success
Keeping records up to date through IIC’s Customer Relationship Management system
Being an ambassador for IIC by promoting benefits to the charity community and keeping your eye out for potential new charity partners
As this is a new role, and IIC are a growing organisation there is a great opportunity to really develop with them.
An ideal candidate might be
Someone who has recently graduated, who has a keen interest in tech platforms, marketing and CSR
Someone who maybe have started their career in a tech environment and is now looking for a new challenge
A quick learner, and can pick up new systems / tech easily
Someone who wants to work for a progressive business and has a real passion for social impact
Based in the North Derbyshire/ Yorkshire / Northwest region and can commute to one of the mentioned working spaces from time to time
So, if you want to work for a mission-driven organisation that promotes a healthy work-life balance, ongoing training and career development and a supportive culture then we welcome your application.
IIC are working in partnership with Oliver King Consulting in the recruitment for this role.
