What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, to become part of this team. Required from September 2025, we wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, flexible individual to join Team Athelstan.
The position is to support groups of children or individuals, inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate must be able to enthuse, inspire and motivate our children to learn, and be committed to their educational and social development, and to raising their attainment. They should have a proven record of good/outstanding practice.
Candidates are required to have excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team under instruction, as well as have the ability to use their initiative and work independently. An NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant experience is essential as well as SEN experience. Experience of working with Read, Write, Inc is desirable. The post is for 32.50 hours per week on a 39 week contract. Hours of work will be discussed at interview.
