What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at Oulton Primary School in Leeds. This role is varied and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to join our team. Initially, the successful candidate is likely to be placed in Key Stage 2, so experience in these phases would be beneficial.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Working effectively with class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning
• Delivery of set programs such as phonics/maths intervention/small group sessions
• Be able to work as part of a team and work with others to undertake different roles during the day- supporting whole class teaching, supporting groups or working 1-1 with children .
• Coaching children on a 1:1 or group basis
• Accompanying groups on trips
• Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
• Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
• Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
• Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability
• Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
• Has a flexible and supportive approach to changing demands
• Will possess excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Works effectively as part of a skilled team

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
• Previous experience
• A proven ability to work on their own initiative
• A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
• The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
• A can-do attitude
• A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
