Role Purpose
Kelso High School is seeking a dynamic and committed Depute Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of a vibrant school community, working closely with the Headteacher and colleagues to support our learners and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the strategic leadership and management of the school.
• Lead and support S3/4 curriculum development, learning and teaching, and quality assurance.
• Support staff development, including professional review and development processes. This post has the responsibility of line managing 4 PTs.
• Play a key role in behaviour management for S3/4, policy implementation, and school improvement planning.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents, external agencies, and the wider community.
• Support the recruitment and management of staff and promote a safe, inclusive environment for all. A flexible teaching commitment may be part of the role, tailored to the needs of the school. You’ll work alongside two other Depute Headteachers, with responsibilities regularly reviewed to align with your professional growth and the evolving needs of our school.
