Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join the UK's leading Vehicle Recycling Company, The Green Parts Specialists.

A QC Technician will ensure all vehicle parts dispatched to customers or stored for future sale meet the highest quality standards. The QC Technician plays a key role in customer satisfaction by inspecting parts before delivery, removing unwanted components from body panels, and supporting the Photobay team in maintaining consistent, high-quality inventory.

This role will suit someone with high levels of energy, who is extremely self-motivated and can work with a degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities: -

  • Pre-Delivery Inspections: Conduct final quality checks on parts before they are packed and dispatched to customers, ensuring items are correct, clean, undamaged, and meet customer expectations.
  • Panel Preparation: Strip unwanted or non-requested components from body panels (e.g. door cards, window regulators, mirrors), ensuring only required items are delivered.
  • Photobay Support: Work alongside the Photobay team to improve the overall quality of parts entering inventory-cleaning, labelling, and preparing parts to ensure accurate listings and professional presentation.
  • Damage & Defect Reporting: Identify and report any issues with parts-such as wear, damage, or incorrect labelling-before they are photographed or sent to dispatch.
  • Inventory Collaboration: Communicate clearly with inventory, dispatch, and dismantling teams to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the parts journey.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow company procedures and safe working practices, especially when using hand tools or handling vehicle components.

What we need from you: -

Essential:

  • Basic mechanical experience and confidence using hand tools
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
  • Ability to follow job sheets or part requests accurately
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Willingness to work between the QC and Photobay areas as needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Desirable:

  • Experience in vehicle dismantling, parts handling or bodyshop work
  • Familiarity with vehicle panels and components
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to train)

What we offer you in return:

  • Time For You: Relax with 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day for a personal special occasion.
  • Give Back: Receive a paid day to volunteer for a charity of your choice.
  • Health & Wellness: Health & Wellness: Healthcare Cash Plan, allowing you to claim cash back on a range of healthcare products and services including dental, optical, chiropody, and specialist consultations, tests, and scans and Virtual GP access.
