A well-regarded and inclusive primary school in Ealing is seeking three SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team in September, supporting young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Early Years and Key Stage 1. The children you'll be supporting are pre-verbal and require calm, consistent adults who can bring structure and patience to their day.
This is an ideal opportunity for Psychology graduates, experienced Teaching Assistants, or those with a background in Early Years education who are passionate about one-on-one tutoring, behaviour management, and meaningful SEN support.
About the Role:
- Supporting children with ASD in Reception and Year 1
- Implementing structured routines and visual learning tools to aid communication
- Providing one-on-one and small group instruction under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
- Supporting emotional regulation and reducing anxiety through consistent, supportive interaction
- Helping children engage with learning activities through clear communication and positive reinforcement
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent spoken English and confident communication skills
- Experience working with SEN pupils, ideally those who are pre-verbal
- A patient and proactive approach to classroom support
- Background in Early Years, SEND, or a relevant Psychology degree advantageous
- Committed to full-time, long-term work and making a difference in children's lives
