Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Specialist Intervention & Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our client's Priamry school in Stockport. This role is based within the school's specialist provision, designed to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and associated complex needs.
About the Role
- Location: Stockport
- Start Date: ASAP / September 2025
- Contract Type: Full-time
- Pay Rate: From £103.94 per day under umbrella
- Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (subject to variation)
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working 1:1 with pupils, supporting their personal and academic development.
- Has a background in psychology, therapy, coaching, or life skills training, bringing valuable strategies for student support.
- Is passionate about helping students rebuild trust in adults and the education system.
- Thrives on building meaningful relationships with young people who may have disengaged from traditional schooling.
- Is flexible and proactive, ready to step in when needed, offering personalised support.
- Understands safeguarding procedures and ensures a safe, inclusive learning environment.

- An enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Two professional child-related references
