A highly academic and values-driven primary school in West London is seeking a Learning Support Officer to join their KS2 team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that blends academic excellence with a strong emphasis on character education and pastoral development.
The ideal candidate will bring a balance of good subject knowledge and emotional insight, providing high-quality learning support to children who benefit from both academic guidance and pastoral support throughout the school day.
About the Role:
- Working across KS2, with a focus on supporting children with varied learning needs
- Providing targeted classroom support under teacher guidance
- Leading or supporting small group instruction in literacy and numeracy
- Offering informal pastoral support to pupils requiring additional encouragement or behavioural redirection
- Supporting with lesson activities, transitions, and progress monitoring
The Ideal Candidate:
- Confident in delivering academic support, particularly in core subjects
- Calm, resilient, and attuned to the emotional needs of upper primary children
- Able to work well within a structured environment and with multiple teachers
- Experience in a primary school or tutoring/mentoring in KS2 is advantageous
- A strong communicator with an interest in education and personal development
