Team Leader – Supported Living Services
Location: Various supported living homes CV7
Reporting to: Registered Manager / Deputy Manager

Role Overview
We Are Care is recruiting an experienced and passionate Team Leader to support vulnerable adults transitioning into community-based supported living environments. This role involves supporting individuals to live independently while ensuring they receive safe, person-centred care tailored to their needs.
As a Team Leader, you will lead by example—providing direct support, overseeing staff, and ensuring care is delivered in line with current best practices and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities
Person-Centred Support
Support service users according to their care plans and risk assessments.
Facilitate participation in community activities, hobbies, and life skills training.
Build trusted, empowering relationships with service users, their networks, and professionals.
Assist new service users with transitions into their homes, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience.
Team Leadership & Supervision
Provide guidance and mentoring to support workers.
Lead shifts and ensure smooth daily operations in the absence of senior managers.
Conduct supervisions and contribute to staff appraisals.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and solution-focused team culture.
Safeguarding & Safety
Uphold safeguarding protocols to protect service users from harm.
Report any concerns, incidents, or risks to management and escalate where necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely records using internal systems.
Adhere to health and safety standards and report any hazards or repairs needed.
Administration & Finance
Ensure financial accountability for petty cash and service user funds.
Complete audits and manage file accuracy for assigned individuals.
Support with medication management according to organisational policies.
Training & Development
Contribute to onboarding new staff and fostering a learning culture.
Attend mandatory training (e.g. NAPPI, safeguarding) and maintain up-to-date certifications.
Work with management to identify development needs and growth opportunities.
Essential Criteria
Ability to work unsupervised, use initiative, and remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills.
Ability to motivate, inspire, and maintain positive team morale.
Understanding of safeguarding, CQC standards, equality and diversity.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Desirable
Working towards or holding NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
Experience in supported living, mental health, learning disabilities or similar fields.
Knowledge of person-centred planning and community integration.
Experience working with multi-agency teams and external professionals.
Additional Information
This role may include occasional travel and overnight stays.
All applicants are subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
