We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. The role:This is a unique opportunity to join Gower College Swansea in a0.5 job share position as School Manager, helping to shape the experience of 14-16 and post-16 learners across a range of innovative and inclusive programmes. We are seeking a creative and resilient individual who can influence and inspire others, build strong relationships, and lead with integrity.Part-time (18.5 hours per week, job share)Permanent£29,272 (£58,544 FTE)Tycoch campus (cross site working required)Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for leading and managing our school partnerships, ensuring smooth learner transitions from school to college, as well as the Post 16 Landscaping and Eco Construction area.The role involves working closely with external agencies, schools, and the local authority to support curriculum alignment, recruitment events, and the continual improvement of quality and learner outcomes.You will help set strategic direction and implement operational plans, with a firm commitment to inclusion, engagement, and high standards for all young people.You’ll contribute to managing curriculum areas, support staff development, lead self-assessment processes, and oversee aspects of budget and resource planning.As part of a job share, you’ll collaborate with your co-manager and senior leaders to ensure continuity, consistency, and a positive learner journey. This is a rare chance to bring your leadership experience and passion for inclusive education to a dynamic college that values creativity, flexibility, and innovation About you:Recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE or equivalent).Knowledge of current issues facing FE Colleges with a strong appreciation of 14-19 curriculum developments.Ability to motivate staff to inspire learners who may be disengaged and/or at risk of becoming NEET.Sound Management judgement, supported with excellent interpersonal skills.
