Summary
Due to a recent new business win, we are looking to recruit a Senior Operations Manager into a newly created role. Responsible for developing and maintaining the relationship between Wincanton and our new strategic customer. Based in Cambridgeshire and reporting to the head of operations, your key focuses will include a strong safety culture, team engagement and development, delivery of an agreed annual budget including efficiency goals and objectives, coupled with outstanding customer satisfaction.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance due to the defence nature of the customer.

What will you be doing?
- Build and maintain a lasting relationship with the customer, acting as the bridge between them and Wincanton, working to completely understand them, their business and the team that runs it.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all operational matters, including requests and issue escalations as needed.
- Head up the migration from the current base to a new 20,000 square foot facility including the TUPE of staff where required.
- Build, lead, motivate and develop the team to ensure the stores facility not only meets, but exceeds customer expectations.
- Accountable for the delivery of all contractual KPI's and budget requirements.
- Develop and execute customer satisfaction improvement plans where required.
- Organise and lead appropriate business cadence to include regular, formal reviews and reports.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders across all departments to leverage multifaceted solutions, achieving a smooth and effective client experience.
- Deliver a culture of efficiency, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement by utilising the most appropriate methodology on a consistent basis.
- Ensure that a best-in-class HSE performance is achieved across sites and that a culture of safety is embedded in everything we do.
- Prepare annual operations budget.
- Ensure contract change is applied in accordance with process, ensuring robust governance is applied.
