Summary
An experienced and discreet part-time housekeeper is sought for a permanent role in a well-maintained 4-bedroom townhouse in West London. This is a daily (live-out) position offering approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling. The ideal candidate will be reliable, thorough, and able to adapt to the natural rhythm of a shared-parenting household, where children are present only part of the time. A calm, capable presence is essential, especially during busier family weeks.
Key Responsibilities
• Full housekeeping duties including cleaning all interior rooms and bathrooms
• Preparing and cooking healthy, fresh meals for the family
• Basic grocery shopping, as needed
• Occasional dog walking (when the dog is in residence)
• Maintaining a calm, tidy and well-organised household environment
• Supporting the family by adjusting hours slightly in busier weeks (when children are home)
Requirements
• Proven experience in a similar housekeeper role within a private household
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in high standards of cleanliness
• Confident home cook who enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious meals
• Discreet and respectful, with a “light touch” approach to household presence
• Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive with good judgment
• Gentle and supportive nature, particularly when children or pets are present
• Fluent English speaker
• Must live within easy reach of the property (daily commute)
• Willing to be flexible with weekly scheduling depending on family needs
• Valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• At least two recent, contactable references
Benefits
• Long-term, permanent position with a respectful and welcoming household
• Calm, well-organised working environment in a 4-storey townhouse
• No travel or driving required
• Opportunity to work in a high-quality private home without childcare as a primary duty
