Quantity Surveyor opportunity
Our client, a multi-award winning prestigious large scale real estate developers, are seeking to recruit a Quantity surveyor to take on the 2nd Phase of the project through to final stages of completion.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
The business prides themselves on their proven track record of superior build quality and exceptional market presence. With over 110 awards won and over 29 seals of excellence in 2025 alone your main objective will be to maintain the existing progress of the project and impose a clinical role in the 2nd phase of the development. As the on site Quantity Surveyor, you will benefit from working alongside the existing commercial team and have the full backing from your senior Quantity Surveyor. This specific development requires outstanding knowledge of Reinforced Concrete Frame construction as over 250 units are being erected in the latest Springfield Village developments in Tooting London. The desired candidate will be within a commutable distance of Springfield Drive SW17 with the most convenient train station to the vacancy being Tooting Bec Underground station.
This already 32-acre development is expanding by a further 250 units to which you will be required to play a pivotal role in managing the financial and technical aspects of the contract. Your expertise will help reduce costs and boost value all whilst taking full responsibility for the project's financial performance.
Key tasks you will have to undertake will be
- Prepare and review procurement strategies
- Monitor and manage the financial reports
- Identify cost saving opportunities and enhance the profitability of the scheme
- Possess a strong technical knowledge and be able to provide support to less experienced commercial staff on the project
- Liaise with the client and stakeholders ensuring compliance with project requirements
The role includes a long term 12-month Freelance contract proposed, and an extremely competitive daily rate offered depending on experience paid via umbrella CIS or PAYE.
