Enjoy working outside and passionate about the environment?
The people that collect our waste and recycling from the side of the road are the first line of defence in the battle to protect our local and global environment. If our teams stopped collecting for just 1 week, over a thousand tonnes of waste would be left on the streets of our beautiful district.
Our operatives are the first people to handle residents’ recycling and waste, and to spot any contamination, before sending it on its way to be sorted and recycled into new products or turned into electricity.
It can be hard work; it can be messy. But if you’re looking for work life balance, you like being outdoors and would like a job that is sure to keep you fit, then why not consider becoming a Refuse and Recycling Operative.
