Duties and Responsibilities
Answer inbound telephone calls quickly and efficiently.
Receive instructions from clients and recording relevant details accurately on
the Company’s data management system.
Maintain high customer service levels by ensuring a rapid response to their
requirements.
Handle telephone inquiries from Company and Independent Service Providers
(ISPs) quickly and efficiently.
Identify needs and establishing client requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve the service and report these to the Depot
Manager.
Plan optimum utilisation of Company owned vehicles and ISPs.
Assist with loading / unloading and ensure that load is evenly distributed and
safely secured.
Developing positive relationships with clients, colleagues and team members
and support the Warehouse and Traffic personnel.
Routing the Drivers runs to ensure that all timed services are adhered to.
Ensuring that regulations regarding hours of work, the operational safety and
efficiency of the company and ISP vehicles and other statutory regulations are
complied with together with the submission of all necessary forms pertaining to
the company’s BSI record system and management reports.
Ensuring minimal waste of resources and securing value for money especially
in the area of subcontractor haulage.
Sign out vehicle keys and PDAs to Drivers.
Maintain effective communication with the warehouse team to ensure there are
minimum loading issues.
Follow the correct procedure for informing Circle Express depots of any
missing freight.
Act responsibly towards colleagues and team members in relation to
regulations and requirements in respect of Health and Safety and Aviation
Security.
Experience & Qualifications
Understands Health & Safety and Aviation Security protocols.
Knowledge of Logistics and Freight forwarding function.
Ability to handle pressure in unforeseen circumstances.
Flexibility in working hours.
Customer focused.
Good influencing skills.
Procedurally proficient.
Ability to communicate at all levels with strong communication skills.
Organised with excellent planning skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy fast paced environment.
Able to think ahead and foresee any potential challenges.
Strong I.T skills.
Good geographical knowledge.
Contract Type
Permanent.
Shift & Working Days / Hours / Breaks
Day shift / Monday to Friday / 05:45-15:45 / 1-hour unpaid break
