Job Description:
As a Management Consultant at Rock Island Consultancy Ltd, you will play a critical role in
strengthening our advisory capabilities and meeting the increasing demand from clients. You
will bring specific expertise in international trade, industrial economics, and applied
microeconomics to enhance our capacity to deliver high-level consultancy services. Your work
will be essential in supporting complex construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring
alignment with post-Brexit regulatory changes, market competitiveness, and ESG
requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory: Provide bespoke advisory services tailored to client needs, particularly
for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
Economic Analysis: Conduct in-depth performance and economic assessments of client
operations to guide strategic business decisions.
Consultancy Methodologies: Introduce and embed global consultancy approaches aligned
with firm dynamics and international trade flows.
Project Management: Lead multi-disciplinary projects involving regulatory compliance,
cross-border strategies, and data-driven decision-making.
Sales and Client Engagement: Support business development by identifying client needs,
proposing tailored solutions, and contributing to sales planning and execution.
Training and Mentorship: Deliver internal training and mentorship to upskill the UK-based
consultancy team and integrate international best practices.
Market and Data Analysis: Analyze industry trends and data to develop strategies that
enhance client competitiveness and sustainability.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure alignment with relevant regulatory frameworks and
client reporting standards.

Qualifications:
• A postgraduate degree in Economics with specialisation in international trade and
industrial organisation.
• Proven experience in consulting firms or in-house roles where they delivered
measurable impact through research-driven advisory.
• Strong communication, team leadership, and project coordination skills critical to
consultancy delivery.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, project coordination, and policy interpretation.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver impactful results under tight
deadlines.
