An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant learning community within Simpson Primary School. The school is a non-denominational school serving the community of Wester Inch in Bathgate, West Lothian. The school accommodates 22 mainstream classes and a nursery class. The school roll currently stands at 638 children in P1-P7 and accommodates 140 children in the nursery class.

We aim to inspire, motivate, engage and empower our children in and through their learning providing an excellent education enabling children to be the best they can be.
The school works very closely in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community and it has a very active and effective Parent Council that helps to enhance the experiences of the children and raise funds for a range of additional resources.
The Pupil Support Worker role will have a clear focus on delivering high quality learning experiences for all of our learners within Simpson Primary School. The successful candidate will follow West Lothian Council policies.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
