Job Summary

Personal Assistant required for active lady with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis to support independent living in her own home in Whittington, Worcester, WR5. This is a varied and rewarding role with a focus on health and wellbeing, lifestyle and social activities during the weekends. A candidate with experience of dogs would be preferable and who wishes to support the client to care for her pets. This role involves personal care, household and administrative tasks.

Personal assistant role available:

Sleeping Nights - 3/4 Nights available - Mon, Tues, Weds & Thurs 0:00 - 8:00

Optional Alternate Saturdays, 08:30 - 18:30 if interested

Possible opportunity for additional Saturdays and additional nights if interested

These positions are initially offered on a 1 year contract, with a view to the role becoming permanent for the right person.

Rates of pay:

£12.50 per hour day rate

£12.21 per hour night rate

Candidate requirements:

Medical care experience is preferable due to the complexity of needs. It is essential that candidates have a clear and concise level of written and spoken English due to medical record keeping.
Drivers are essential as part of this post and must hold a clean driving licence. You must be aged 21 and over for insurance purposes.
The personal assistant must be trustworthy, respectful, honest and flexible in covering job-share shifts. You need to have a sense of humour and a general positive outlook to improve quality of life.
Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care and assistance in daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation and household tasks.
Carry out medical record keeping and handle administrative tasks. Must be computer literate.
Administer medication and monitor health conditions, ensuring timely communication with healthcare professionals.
Assist with organising and attending medical appointments.
Assist with mobility and use of mobility aids.
Support with social and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being and to include visits to gym and spa and days out.
The personal assistant needs to be proactive and capable of managing day to day tasks independently.
Time management and organisational skills are essential.
It is important to have a patient and empathetic nature, and be willing to support decision making.
