Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen, to join the Operational Management team in Cardiology Service, within the Integrated Medicine Division. As part of the post you will also be required to work at Ealing Hospital, Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospital.

Working closely with the General Manager and Service Manager you will be supporting a core group of specialist services within Cardiology Service, focusing primarily on Outpatient Clinics and RTT delivery. This is a varied role which will enable you to develop management skills including capacity planning, problem solving, negotiation skills and relationship management.

Please note that the post is cross site to cover all three Hospitals.
• Manage personal workload to meet both corporate and personal deadline
• Manage staff and delegate appropriate tasks, ensuring competence of the staff
• Support the senior management team in undertaking capacity and demand exercises in order to best plan and deliver services
• Investigate and respond to PALs, DATIX and Complaints and implement changes, highlighted as part of learning from them
• Facilitate collaborative working between all stakeholders inside and outside of the Directorate.
• Support the development of collaborative partnerships and effective working relationships with clinical staff, managers and members of the multi-disciplinary team(MDT), creating an environment within
which all staff have an opportunity to become closely involved in, or have genuine opportunity to influence and improve, the management, planning and development of services.
• Identify changes that may be required in an area to deliver the service and actively implement these changes with the support of the Service Manager
• Seek to work with a “problem solving approach” in order to identify solutions to challenges in the service.
• Produce, Monitor and Deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and attend meetings as required.
• Analyse outcome measures and activity data relating to service performance in relation to 18 weeks pathways, Length of Stay, Elective Recovery Plan activity and DM01
