Our client is looking for a Employee Relations Advisor to join their dynamic HR team and play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience. This role will be based on their site in Filton, it is a 6 month contract role with the potential of extension.
As the Employee Relations Advisor you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support on a wide range of employee relations matters. This includes advising on disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance management, and flexible working arrangements. You will also contribute to the development and review of HR policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and advise on industrial relations topics, including interacting with employee representatives and interpreting collective agreements.
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations, compiling detailed reports and recommending appropriate resolutions.
- Coordinate and identify training needs on employee relations and industrial relations topics to up skill HR Business Partners, managers, and employees.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Learning & Development, and other HR functions to provide integrated and holistic HR solutions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as an Employee Relations Advisor or a similar role, ideally within a large multinational environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and best practices, with a strong understanding of industrial relations frameworks and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility.
- Strong investigation and problem-solving skills, with a balanced and objective approach.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proven track record of working effectively across different HR functions and contributing to broader HR initiatives.
