The SSP, although physically hosted by Suffolk County Council, are a team jointly funded by the Police, Health, and Social Care.

Your role and responsibilities
You will be the lead for analysing multi-agency safeguarding data in Suffolk. You will lead on the provision of high-quality business intelligence, providing advice, interrogation, and provide interpretation and context of data to leaders and partners within the Suffolk Safeguarding Partnership (SSP).
You will:
- build a multi-agency, all-age data set for the SSP
- provide analytical insights aligned to the SSPs strategic annual priorities. This includes understanding key safeguarding issues in Suffolk and cross-analysing learning from reviews
- work closely with the SSPs Children's and Adults Professional Advisors and relevant leads in the statutory partner organisations (health, police, and social care) to inform your lines of enquiry/analysis. You will need to be inquisitive and keen to understand safeguarding issues for the people of Suffolk as part of this
- interrogate data from a range of sources, including education, social care, police, and health services to provide comprehensive insights and analysis which identifies patterns and key issues
- provide analytical insights aligned to delivery against the SSPs strategic annual priorities
- translate highly complex statistical/analytical information into a method of communication suitable for non-statistical/analytical professionals
- support operational delivery through the provision of business intelligence, reports and analysis to ensure that the SSP is meeting its legislative requirements in relation to data analysis to inform delivery of services
- through commitment and initiative, contribute to positive change, ensuring that the support provided leads to real improvements in the well-being and future opportunities for people of Suffolk.

You will need
- a level 6/7 qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience working at a high level of qualitative and quantitative analysis
- experience or understanding of children’s or adults safeguarding (desirable)
- excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write and present reports to a wide variety of audiences
- high level of problem-solving skills and resilient under pressure with ability to remain positive when challenged
- a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of those who access our services
- the ability to support cross-team or cross-departmental working, seeking the input of others and creating an inclusive environment.

The team
Whilst this is it's a multi agency post, you will be part of the Suffolk Safeguarding Partnership Team. This currently includes the partnership manager, adults and children’s professional advisors, and a partnership coordinator. This small but dedicated team operates in a multi-agency space, making a significant impact on safeguarding in Suffolk. Excitingly, the team is set to expand in the coming months, creating even more opportunities to strengthen its work and influence.
The team holds weekly meetings to catch up and collaborate on ongoing work from Endeavour House. Additionally, you will be expected to co-work from the partners' office on a weekly basis, ensuring strong engagement and collaboration across the partnership. While teamwork is key, this role is highly individual-focused, requiring you to take initiative and work independently to drive meaningful contributions within the safeguarding space.
