What skills and experience we're looking for

Inspire, Nurture, Challenge
Whitecote Primary School is looking for a great Reception class teacher.
If you're an enthusiastic and experienced educator who believes in the power of play, the joy of discovery, and the importance of nurturing every learner, then this is the perfect role for you! We need someone who can create an engaging, inspiring and safe classroom environment where our youngest pupils can flourish, foster a lifelong love of learning and ensure our children take their first exciting steps in school with confidence.
We need someone with:
• A genuine passion for early years education and an understanding of the EYFS framework.
• The ability to create imaginative and stimulating learning experiences.
• A nurturing and patient approach, ready to celebrate every triumph.
• Effective communication skills to build great relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• A sense of humour and a positive, can-do attitude!
Application deadline: Friday 20th June at 12 noon
What the school offers its staff
We're a supportive, friendly, and forward-thinking school with a real commitment to staff well-being and professional development. You'll be joining a collaborative team who are passionate about making a difference, and you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape the early educational journey of our children.
This post may also come with a TLR 3 for a candidate who can demonstrate proven experience of leading across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and includes a dedicated afternoon release every two weeks to support this valuable work. This can be discussed at interview.
Visits to our school are warmly encouraged. All visits should be pre-arranged with the School Business Manager by calling 0113 216 4800 or emailing office@whitecote.co.uk
