What skills and experience we're looking for
The Leaders and Governors of Wybourn Community Primary & Nursery School, are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Building Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operations of our school building. The ideal candidate will possess strong practical skills including a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires effective project management abilities to ensure that all building operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be required to work as part of the staff team and line manage the cleaners.
• Carry out general maintenance work
• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. This will require the use of technology.
• To act as primary keyholder maintaining the security of the premises at all times
• To oversee the cleanliness of the school site and take responsibility for keeping all internal and external areas free from debris and promoting the schools welcoming ethos
• To work closely with the bursar, staff and other stakeholders as necessary.
• General porterage duties
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs or projects as required.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance & cleaning supplies and order materials as necessary.
• Prepare reports on building operations, maintenance activities, and project progress for management review.
Experience
• Proven experience in a supervisory role.
• The ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
