DWP. Digital with Purpose.
We are looking for a relationship-driven, commercially savvy Senior Supplier Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.
DWP deliver services and products that help and support some of the most vulnerable people in society. We're looking for people who are as motivated by that unique purpose as we are.
Our teams are transforming the way DWP works, so that our services are more secure, efficient and resilient.
You and your role
Joining our Technology Services team, you'll need the skills and experience to manage contracts, supplier relationships, and procurements. You'll ensure our digital experts have the tools, frameworks, software and partnerships to deliver real change to public services.
As a Senior Supplier Manager, you'll manage up to 20 digital contracts of varying complexity, overseeing cost models, financial reporting, and supplier performance. You'll monitor and review data to ensure agreed targets are met, supporting the Programme Manager to renegotiate where necessary.
You'll lead complex procurements from end to end, ensuring suppliers meet agreed targets and collaborating with internal delivery teams to ensure product roadmaps are supported.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need? How will this be assessed?
The application process for these roles includes both a technical statement and a personal statement. This is your opportunity to showcase clear examples and evidence of how you meet the following:
Technical statement:
- Experience of maintaining finance and budgetary requirements within a major programme or organisation with experience of achieving value for money.
Personal Statement:
- Experience in establishing professional relationships with a range of stakeholders with strong evidence of your ability to drive and form a network of key contacts.
- Evidence of strong communication and engagement skills with the ability to negotiate favourable outcomes for the Business and Department.
- Experience of establishing ways to find and respond to feedback from customers about the services provided.
- Experience of managing high profile complex commercial and procurement activities during a Project lifecycle, prioritising tasks in a fast-paced agile working environment.
The sift panel will use the information in your employment history, personal statement, and technical statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge against the essential criteria above.
