Summary
Clinical PracticeTo carry out clinical practice within designated clinical areas ensuring that high quality evidence based occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning, interventions and evaluations for service users are provided. To complete comprehensive person-centred assessments of occupation needs. To develop and Implement appropriate intervention strategies. To evaluate the effectiveness of therapy provided. To implement research based practice. To work in collaboration with MDT staff. To work within CPA framework and approach. To provide leadership to junior, unqualified staff and students. To undertake risk assessment and develop risk management strategies for individual service users. To undertake risk assessment and develop risk managementstrategies for groups and a variety of activities. To apply clinical reasoning and justification in designing appropriate group programmes and protocols. To demonstrate working knowledge of the key elements of relevant mental health legislation. To apply a high level of understanding of the effect of disability and provide training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the service users social and physical environment.
