Do you have a passion for early childhood education? Are you a kind, collaborative, and flexible team player?

Winchester House School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learning in our Early Years and Key Stage 1 department. You’ll work closely with experienced educators to help children grow, explore, and thrive—both academically and personally.

You will need to have a level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education.

This role is full time but we would consider a part time job share.


Key Responsibilities:

- Support pupils' development across cognitive, emotional, and physical domains.

- Work with individuals or small groups, inside and outside the classroom.

- Assist with practical tasks, prepare learning materials, and maintain classroom displays.

- Contribute to outings, events, and school life—making learning rich and fun.

- Support inclusion and provide targeted support, including for children with SEN.


What We’re Looking For:

Essential Criteria:

- Level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education

- GCSEs (Grade 9–4 / A*–C) in English and Maths.

- Experience working with children in an educational setting.

- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

- Enthusiasm, empathy, and a commitment to safeguarding.


Winchester House School

Winchester House School was founded in 1875 and moved to its present 18-acre site in the centre of Brackley in 1922. The heart of the School is situated in Manor House, an attractive building dating from the early 1800s.
