Summary

We are looking to appoint a full-time Site Manager for 37 hours a week to join our Site Maintenance Team at Chipping Sodbury School. Do you take pride in all that you do and enjoy a challenge? Are you conscientious, flexible, hard-working and committed to deliver excellent service?
As a valued and dependable member of our team, you will manage the school premises in order to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and cleanliness, whilst at the same time ensuring a safe learning and working environment for students and staff. You will be responsible for health and safety, maintenance and security of the school premises, including the opening and locking of the site. You will be flexible, able to prioritise your workload, keep accurate site compliance records and work on your own initiative where necessary. As part of your role you will also be responsible for proactively undertaking a range of redecoration and maintenance work as agreed with your line manager, together with general caretaking and porterage duties.
The ideal candidate will have:
experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a school or academy setting
knowledge and experience of maintenance, contract negotiation and health & safety compliance
strong verbal and written communication skills
a flexible approach
the ability to work under pressure, use their initiative and manage conflicting priorities
the ability and experience to undertake DIY tasks
a flexible, proactive approach with a positive can-do attitude
