Role: Lunchtime Play Supervisor
Location: Meath School, Chertsey, Surrey
Salary: £9,688.97 per annum/£12.90 per hour, part-time, term time only (FTE £23,478)
Hours: 16.25 hours per week, term-time only
Start date: ASAP
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Lunchtime Play Supervisor to:
• Provide support during midday breaks, ensuring children enjoy safe, engaging, and inclusive playtime.
• Assist children during lunch, fostering positive social interactions and independence.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to support therapy programs and promote positive behaviour.
• Supervise and ensure the well-being of children across dining areas, school buildings, and outdoor play spaces.
What you will bring:
• Ability to relate to and engage with young children in individual and group settings.
• Clear and effective communication skills with colleagues and pupils.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable: Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) or in a school setting.
About Us:
Meath, a Speech and Language UK school, is a day and residential non-maintained primary special school for up to 75 pupils aged 4 to 11 years with complex speech and language challenges. Our most recent Ofsted report (2023) is highly positive about the work of the school and the progress which our children make. ‘Pupils are happy and safe, and they enjoy being in school.
