Term Time & Full Time Positions Available

Based in our Fleet Depot in Bellshill, you will primarily transport clients in coaches to and from various education establishments and other locations throughout the day. This will involve driving PCV vehicles equipped with passenger lift facilities.

You may also be required to transport clients in a variety of buses to ASN schools and work in partnership with a Bus Escort to ensure that transport services are flexible, sensitive and responsive to the individual needs of the service users.

Whilst not driving you may be required to carry out other duties such as, deliver school meals, drop off bins or any other role as required by the service.

You must have a full PCV driving licence, to be able to carry out the requirements of the job including vehicle checks and have a good attitude when dealing with the public. You must have experience of vocational driving. Experience of dealing with tail lifts, wheelchair restraint systems and working with clients with additional support needs would be advantageous. You must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of verbal and written instructions and be approachable with a polite and helpful manner.

It is essential that you hold a current DCPC card, and that your training record is up to date, with 7 hours of training having been registered per year since your DCPC was obtained.

You will require to become a full Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
