Fawkes and Reece are working with a highly reputable Tier 1 contractor known for delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK construction sector. They are currently seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their Reading and Oxford division.
The role will primarily focus on a significant life sciences project based in Reading, with further opportunities to be involved in other technically demanding schemes within the region.
Key Responsibilities for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor:
- Provide commercial input and oversight across MEP packages on large-scale life sciences projects.
- Work closely alongside the Head of Building Services to support project delivery and ensure commercial objectives are met.
- Monitor costs, manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and contract administration.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, providing robust advice to the wider project team.
- Contribute to the continuous development of the MEP commercial function within the division.
Candidate Profile for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor
- Proven experience as a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a Tier 1 environment or on technically complex projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage large budgets and complex contracts.
- Ambitious individual looking to take the next step in their career, with the potential to progress into a leadership role managing the MEP commercial team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Salary for the Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor
Up to £95,000 - £100,000, depending on experience, plus package
