As Associate Director of Estates you will play a key role in shaping the future provision of Estates Services within the Trust. This will include the strategic development of services to ensure they are high quality, progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, patient focused and fully support the strategic and future operational needs of the service delivery contracts. Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and policies for the Directorate.
You be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic business development plans and a strong governance framework to provide and demonstrate that all services are safe, fit for purpose, efficient and effective for patients and staff including relatives and visitors. Responsible for managing the organisations infrastructure and maintain a high quality and cost-effective service. Providing expert advice to colleagues.
You will help to maintain and develop strong and effective links with all key stakeholders, which will involve deputising for the Director of Estates and Facilities when required at local, regional and national level. Required to assist in corporate decision making when needed. Provides management and leadership to maintenance, estates and other facilities activities.
Have responsibility for the ensuring the environment is safe for patients, staff and public.
1. The Associate Director of Estates will be responsible for managing the organisations infrastructure.
2. To demonstrate continuous service improvement & modernisation of service delivery & structure.
3. To be the source of expertise on the interpretation of legislation when required.
4. Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the business ensuring the infrastructure continues to be safe & meet the needs of the patients, public & staff ensuring delivery against the contract for services.
5. Responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements to ensure safe &compliant services are delivered.
6. Responsible for providing evidence to demonstrate compliance with associated CQC, PAM, Health & Safety.
7. Maintain & develop robust monitoring & reporting systems to ensure and clearly demonstrate the safe and effective delivery of Estates Operational Services.
8. To undertake the role of Authorised / Designated Person with delegated authority from the Director for the following areas: Medical Gases, Electricity, Asbestos, Water Safety, Air Conditioning & Ventilation.
9. Evaluate service provision performance measures, including benchmarking, to ensure value for money, identify opportunities for improvement, prepare,produce complex performance reports, analysis, and comparison of appropriate data.
