A exciting opportunity has opened on the Children's Outpatient Department.

You will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of patients attending the Children's Outpatients Department, undertaking a variety of nurse led clinics, including Phlebotomy, Allergy, growth clinic and Botox clinic.

The post holder will work closely with the clinical specialists to provide treatment, assessment and expertise for a diverse group of children and young people.

You will supervise and support junior members of the team and pre-registration nursing students to ensure safe and effective care is delivered at all times.

Main Tasks & Overview of Responsibilities
• Assess, deliver and evaluate planned programmes of care to meet the patient’s health needs and general well-being during nurse led clinics
• Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups overcoming any problems in communication
• Contribute to the development of services
• Must work well with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients have a safe and effective journey throughout the service
• Will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of pre and post basic learners and unregistered staff providing a teaching role and acting as named supervisor
• Promote people's equality, diversity and rights
• Maintain and support the efficient use of physical and /or financial resources

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
