About the Job
Are you an experienced buyer who wants to be part of a high performing, fast paced, buying team? We have an exciting opportunity for someone to fulfill the procurement for our manufacturing department, so in essence, sourcing the raw materials and paints for creating our world class miniatures!
To succeed in this role you will be passionate about sourcing and managing a supplier base to deliver the right quality, cost and service from our robust long term global supply chain. Responsible for building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and the effective sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers to reduce risk and improve supply options. You will manage and own product critical paths, ensuring they are adhered to, working cross functionally with departments across Games Workshop to make this happen.
Using your experience to always ensure buying prices/cost of goods are negotiated and managed to deliver margin targets, you research methods and solutions to improve quality and service. You will leverage your leadership experience to positively influence within the department and manage ad-hoc projects within the team as directed.
The ideal candidate will have proven buying experience, ideally from a manufacturing environment along with a proven history of building long term supplier partnerships through supplier performance management.
Working at Games Workshop

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.
In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let's not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
