Are you ready to take the helm of a prestigious kitchen at the royal crown jewel of Surrey, standing on the original site of a Royal Tudor Palace built by King Henry VIII? Do you have a passion for culinary excellence and exceptional leadership skills? We are recruiting for a Head Chef at Oatlands Park Hotel, a luxury 4-star hotel in Weybridge, Surrey.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team, ensuring the highest culinary standards are met, and driving continuous improvement.
You will motivate and develop your kitchen team and our chefs, implementing innovative ideas and strategies to elevate the kitchen's performance and maintain excellence in food preparation and presentation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will oversee the ordering and stock control of all food items for the kitchen.
- You will maintain and monitor food costs to ensure profitability.
- You will create and manage kitchen staff schedules, including production of weekly rotas.
- You will ensure strict HACCP compliance across all food & beverage outlets.
- You will uphold rigorous standards in food hygiene and Health & Safety regulations (H&S Act 1974).
- You will recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring skills development.
- You will maintain culinary excellence by designing new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand.
- You will cross-train kitchen staff on multiple stations to enhance flexibility.
- You will ensure seamless food preparation and service, meeting hotel and guest expectations.
- You must be able to communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination of service.
- You will guide the Sous Chefs and other chefs to carry out cooking tasks appropriately.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 GCSE grade A-C including Maths and English or equivalent.
- You should be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2.
- Other relevant professional qualification (food & beverage related).
- Food hygiene and appropriate HS&E and First Aid accreditation/certification.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
