Summary
Woodlands Nursery School is entering an exciting new chapter under experienced new ownership and fresh, passionate management. With fantastic outdoor spaces and open-plan, ground-floor indoor areas, our nursery is the perfect setting for inclusive, fun, and educational Early Years development.
At Woodlands, we believe in the power of the outdoors to inspire a love of learning. Our approach is rooted in discovery, wonder, and growth, with a strong emphasis on child-led exploration in natural environments.
We are now seeking a Nursery Room Lead – someone who shares our vision and can lead a room with confidence, warmth, and creativity.
✨ About the Role:
As Room Lead, you will play a key role in shaping a positive and stimulating learning environment for children aged 0–5. You will lead by example, guiding a team of practitioners and working closely with management to deliver high-quality care and learning opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
Foster a nurturing, child-centred environment that supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Champion outdoor learning and promote natural, sensory-rich experiences.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff, promoting open communication and trust.
Supervise, mentor, and support room staff to maintain a high standard of practice.
Ensure accurate observations, assessments, and records are maintained.
Work collaboratively with management to uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and inclusion standards.
About You:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or higher) is essential.
Proven experience in an Early Years setting, with previous leadership or key person responsibility desirable.
A passion for child-led learning and outdoor play.
Confident, approachable, and proactive, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
What We Offer:
A supportive, values-led team culture.
Beautiful indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Opportunities for training and career development.
A chance to shape a growing nursery with a clear ethos and vision.
If you are a passionate Early Years professional ready to inspire young minds and lead a team with heart, we would love to hear from you.
Apply now and become part of something special at Woodlands Nursery School.
