Successful candidates will make an important contribution at a senior registrar level to the clinical management of patients presenting with uterinefibroids. These patients willoften have been referred from otherunits across the country to take advantage of the expertise and novel treatment on offerat StMary's Hospital. The fellowship would be most suitable for candidates ST5 or above. The post will be for one year but may be extended. There may be the option of pursuing a further research degree for motivated and dedicated candidates.

There are strong academic and research ties with the Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. The Clinical Fellow will be encouraged to develop research projects, as well as contributing to existingresearch projects. There may be the option of pursuing a further research degree for motivated and dedicated candidates.

In addition, the appointed doctor will be involved in the specialist recurrent miscarriage service, and the management of couples presenting with recurrent miscarriage.

Opportunities are available to develop special interest skills in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The department provides a full range of general and specialist services including feto-maternal medicine, complex benign surgery, minimal access surgery, colposcopy, urogynaecology and emergencygynaecology.
