What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will:
- Maintain plant and machinery within the Fabrication, Bundling & Overhead Line Stores area maintaining machinery and general duties as required to support all
operations; - Maintain both CNC and manual equipment to fabricate steelwork;
- Operate as part of a team undertaking tasks as required;
- Work under a electrical permit system and approved safe system of work;
- Work under a mechanical permit system and approved safe system of work;
- Work as part of the maintenance team on proactive maintenance and breakdowns as required by the Team Leads and Fabrication Manager;
- Carry out weekly audits for legionella testing;
- Work safely at all times following risk assessments and work instructions and maintain a clean working environment;
- Carry out effective repairs of the boiler systems and all preventative maintenance;
- Embrace our Zero Harm approach to safety.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have the following qualities and experience:- A positive and enthusiastic and support a 'can do' attitude;
- Be reliable and support a continuous improvement culture;
- Have a willingness to learn and embrace new ideas;
- An ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated;
- Experience in use on CNC milling to be able to make tooling for production use;
- Experience in the operation of overhead cranes and plant;
- Experience in forklift truck and telehandler operations;
- Computer literate to read task sheets online training and safety documentation including wiring drawings and machine control schematics is desired;
- NVQ level 3 in electrical system and equipment;
- NVQ level 3 in mechanical maintenance and installation;
- 18th edition wiring regulations;
- ESSW and MSSW awareness training;
- PAT qualification;
- Asbestos awareness and fire marshall training;
- First aid at work certification.
