Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - Social Housing | £40,000-£65,000

Romford Office-Based - Schedule of Rates - Damp & Mould

We're working with a well-established specialist contractor delivering reactive and planned works across the social housing and public sector, with a particular focus on damp and mould remediation. Due to continued growth, they're now looking to add a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to their commercial team.

This role is ideal for someone who understands Schedule of Rates (SoR) frameworks - particularly NHS and housing association pricing models - and is confident in both estimating and commercial support.

The Role:

  • Responsible for pricing works under Schedule of Rates (including NHS SoR) and free-pricing schemes
  • Prepare tenders and cost breakdowns for social housing projects focused on damp and mould
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support accurate estimating
  • Oversee financial tracking, variations, and reporting during live projects
  • Work closely with contract managers to ensure delivery is in line with budgets

Requirements:

  • Experience within social housing, responsive repairs, or public sector frameworks
  • Knowledge of NHS Schedule of Rates and the ability to price works independently
  • Confident working in both pre-construction and live project stages
  • Office-based in Romford, with occasional site visits if required
  • Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness

What's on offer:

  • Salary between £40,000 and £60,000, depending on experience
  • Supportive team environment with clear progression opportunities
  • Exposure to stable, long-term frameworks in social housing and the public sector
  • Office-based role with strong collaboration across commercial and delivery teams

If you're looking to step into a secure role with a long-term client base and a supportive commercial structure, we would love to hear from you.
